I never knew the New York MTA now serves areas in Scarborough. I'm sure glad Mattamy shared some of that breaking news with us.
Took me forever, but I understood what you were referring to (one of the pics is that of an NYC elevated track). If I had to guess I’d say LIC, but who knows.

In a peculiar (at least to me) .............turn of events..........

Mattamy have retained a lobbyist for this project......

Details for Subject Matter Registration: SM32246

Decision(s) or issue(s) to be lobbied

Delay with issuance of Notice of Approval Conditions - 2787 Eglinton Avenue East

What's peculiar to me is, there's already a crane up, and construction has been underway for sometime.

This seems a bit out of order to me............

Recently went on a walk through the Site. Almost appreciate the project in a morbid fascination type of way: the almost strategic way they were able to cram 200 something units that must be way cheaper to build than a midrise offering the same number of units (project proforma go brrr).

I agree with sentiment here that the whole development takes any sense of good city building and s**** on it. total waste of potential. Also, imo the buildings are about as ugly as the caddy's that existed before. plenty of examples of stacked back to backs in the GTHA that don't look so out of place.
