Interesting if that's what actually happens, that alternating brick colour. Could be austere but elegant. Presents much better in the front. Those tall stair wells are a nice touch.

This is way under built. These are unnecessary mega-towns, this would be much better as a midrise with more than 6 meagre units given the location.

While true, doesn't mean it should be the case. Certianly something more suitable than 4,000sf townhouses would be appropriate.. maybe a small 3-4 storey apartment block or something. At the very least stacked towns. It's an R zone after all.

This is, after all, a city where you can build a 10 bedroom, 10 bathroom house with little more than minor variances, but a 10 x 1br unit building is almost impossible.

This project remains rather stagnant at this point, but fwiw there was a resubmission from March 2020 with slightly different design elements on certain parts of the townhouse block from the previous iteration posted:

Look how long it's taking to build 6 bloody houses. I'm not sure who's responsible for the hold up but just another reason why affordability has soared. Projects take too bloody long to get off the ground.

Nearly as bad as this project along Eastern for only 3 units. Where inevitably all will end up going for the ~$1.5 to 2 million range at this rate.
