Potential Development site. Old Castlefield theatre, and a few stores. Irregular site, with part of it being a lane way going all the way back to Duplex. Sale in Feb 2015. A bit over 1/2 acre in size.

Do you mean the old Capitol Theatre on Yonge?

I would imagine that St. Clements will cry bloody murder over anything remotely dense here.

St. Clements says oranges and lemons, not bloody murder.
That's just the bells, not the convoy of luxury SUVs dropping kids off with drivers prone to knee-jerk reactions over intensification.

The Capitol was never one of the 'great' theatres; but we've lost so many, kinda shame to see another one go.

Of course it's already been 'event spaced' but it would be completely restorable.

While the existing storefronts are unexceptional, they are a decent contribution to neighbourhood fabric; I would certainly be concerned that we could do much worse.
