They will be replacing the existing rentals with the same number only or will some of the newly constructed 900 units also be rentals rather than just condos for sale?

There is a commitment to 14 net new rental units.

The tenure of the balance of units is undetermined.

gh3 are making really great work these days, and this building is full of influences from them.

The scallops are almost reminiscent of a lot of the PoMo architecture Toronto midrises have, especially in the Annex and this area. Really nice throwback, and if executed well could look very timeless.

I'm really enjoying the alternating finishes on the balcony pillars too - will really make this feel dynamic. Here's hoping it doesn't get VE'd out.

Can't wait for every nimby in the area to show up and suddenly decry that it's somehow casting shadows on Nathan Phillips Square, or Christie Pits Park, or something dumb...

We have a new front page story up here, and it includes this update to the northward-looking hero shot, among many other things including speaking with the private planner at Urban Strategies who is leading their design work. Anyway, updated rendering with more ghostly-blue proposals/construction projects in the area, which is kind of fun to ponder:

When do these types of projects go on sale
Whenever the developer feels* like it… and we have no idea when they'll feel like it, there are too many moving parts for us to get a good idea before an announcement is made.

*Whenever it makes financial sense for the developer, based on lots of forecasting. Tenblock may wait until all the approvals are in place first, or until they feel sure enough of getting all the necessary approvals.

With the lowering of real estate expectations, I can imagine the "feels like it" bit probably won't be for awhile...

Why do you say the heights are unchanged?
The tallest gained 4.6 metres, and the shorter tower gained 10.5 metres.
Even the thread title is wrong for now.
