Meaning why wouldn’t they go for more hieght here.? I read it exactly as it is said. Made sense. . Meaning, who ever they are who decide on such things must not realize its nieghbours (or future place holder renders of them ) over power it. It does look a tad out of place here. But still a nice filler non the less. Just my opinion of course but if it had maybe five more floors and a taller “hat”. Might just fit fine. Again, it’s still a nice spot filler.

The question was rhetorical.

Originally proposed at 50 floors and laughed out. Taken the Board and advised that they wouldn't win. Resubmitted years later at half the height but still not respecting any side setbacks or Tall Building Guidelines. It's a land play gone expensively wrong.

This site has a story going back 20+ years with this nonsense just being the latest chapter.

Because that would be ridiculously inappropriate at the coverage proposed here.

Maybe they should incorporate this hotel design with one of the other proposed development next to it. Using this design instead then create some green space etc where the hotel is proposed.

You love the design and you want it stupid tall because it too crazy good to waste on 25 storey filler. Unfortunately, they don't own the other sites.
