OPA/ZBA just approved by council on Monday for this proposal for a 30-storey mixed-use residential & retail building designed by Sweeny &Co Architects for Intentional Capital and Sweeney Holdings (operating as "2865161 Ontario Inc") on the northwest corner of King Street South and John Street East, east of Caroline Street South in Uptown Waterloo.

Interesting podium, decent streetscape, very little spandrel (like, almost none at all?), unique accent colour, cohesive design. It's a little blocky, which is to be expected, but I have no complaints here.
