I think the architectural expression would be fine if they simply made each tower one colour, and all the towers in different colours for variety.
I tend to agree that there are some aspects that might not be so bad, with a lot of simplification. The low quality renders also do it no favours.

Looks as if the architecture here was AI generated. Developers inputted their specifications (massing, height, density etc.) and this is what it spit out

These look like the modern versions of the classic Scarborough slab towers from the 60s and 70s.

With all due respect, that's insulting to Scarborough's apartment towers from the 60's and 70's. While these slab towers are generally not well-loved, some architects can learn something by studying their lines and cohesiveness. Whatever you call this proposal for 1966 Eglinton East, it's a jumbled mess.
