Toronto 155 Redpath Condominiums | 120.39m | 34s | Freed | a—A

Damn. I hadn't seen this thread before and thought that Redpath was finally leaving the waterfront with something else taking its place. How disappointing :(

That's a vibrant and profitable operation from what I been told. Why would you want to see it and the jobs disappear. It's not disruptive to the neighboring condos, but even if it was, that's too damn bad. The industry was there first and the purchasers of the condos knew what they were getting into. Queen Quay East is a boring street and Redpath is the only thing that stood out for me.

Sorry for going off topic.

This rendition isn't offensive but I do find it to be a messy arrangement of conventional motifs. It reminds me of 101 Erskine but with busier balcony placements. I'd like to see a cleaner profile featuring more stylish and defined balcony/terrace applications. aA's design for 2131 Yonge and Yonge+Rich have the right idea.

So, excluding penthouses, these units max out at 794 square feet in a neighbourhood with schools.

Wow, great job everyone. Will the marketing be targeted at "young professionals" or "empty nesters"?

^ Shame about those houses. Always liked them.

Why, there's nothing of note about them. There's literally 10s of thousands of these throughout the city.

Actually "lol'ed".

Might as well add: the proposed second phase of this, a twin I believe, is planned to be built across the street at 150 Redpath.

Every remaining low-rise and underused lot within the blocks of Yonge-to-Mount Pleasant & Eglinton-to-Erskine will likely be redeveloped in 10-15 years. Too bad retail cannot be zoned on these interior streets though. It would help engage pedestrian flow in what will become a very dense neighbourhood.
