Development Applications

An application to develop a vacant site with a 4-storey residential building with a total of 94 units. A total residential gross floor area of 7,842 m2 is proposed, including indoor amenity areas totalling 1,377 m2. Extensive landscaping and an outdoor amenity space of 520 m2 are proposed around the building. Site vehicular access is proposed from Chapman Road (with existing accesses from Royal York Road and Renault Crescent to be removed), and the proposal includes a single level of underground parking with 50 parking spaces for visitors and employees. A total of 8 short-term bicycle parking spaces are also proposed at-grade at the building entrance. The building would be gear towards senior tenants as an assited living/memory care facility.

Permits were applied for last spring, but have not yet been issued, they are 'under review'.

NOAC was issued (Site Plan Approval) July 18th, 2023.
 
Looks like they want to build a 4-storey place at 1455 Royal York with 94 units, mostly for seniors needing extra care. There’s gonna be indoor and outdoor spots to hang out, some nice green space, and parking underground plus a few bike racks up front.
 
The site used to be a gasoline station. Guessing the builing will include parking spaces for residents and visitors that INCLUDE electric vehicle charging. No need for gasoline, but still still a service centre for tire changes, lubrication, and repairs.
