Toronto 145 Wellington West | 213.03m | 65s | H&R REIT | PARTISANS

I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong here.

Admittedly, PE has made me a bit more cynical over the years. LOL
In many ways it's a good thing to have someone poor cold water over our expectations when developer types are being fanciful and/or disingenuous on what they're are proposing. It's a great way to spot the industries' snake oil sales pitches, IMO.

Maybe five years ago when the first tower designs started popping up. Today, the architects have left Partisans leaving only the influencer behind.

A flashy design is always beneficial when pursuing an aggressively dense intensification. Added bonus, don't actually have to build anything to profit from it.

This has been reworked. Now a 65 storey building with TF designing:

Let me elaborate on @MessiGoat 's post with content from the Planning and Urban Design Report:

The Arch. Docs are here: https://145wellington.com/wp-conten...Plans_145-Wellington-St-W_53-55-Simcoe-St.pdf

While there are no clean renders provided, there is a render overlaid with text on the website:

Here's another w/the bottom and top cut off............

Of note @Paclo, the site continues to list Partisans as the Design Architect:

40 times coverage
861 units in 54,000 square metres
74 car and 259 bike spaces for 861 units.

forget the rendering. these are deplorable stats for living conditions.

My bet is still on this though...
"Developers who build" don't hire Partisans (because they actually want to build).

...even if it is the more prosaic TFA at the architect helm.

Edit/Redaction: TFA is now the AoR, please see below for confirmation.

Nice tower, but I don't like it near Roy Thomson Hall.
I think its mimicry of the diamond pattern detracts from the uniqueness of Roy Thomson Hall (i.e. it tries to outshine it).

Don’t mind the diamond pattern but the colour of the building in this rendering is strange- Indistinguishable; Which is never a good sign.
