And 80 Perth Av--corner. This is the site of a funky old (RR?) house that was sadly torn down about a year ago. It may be by the same developer as those Lansdowne & Davenport lofts as sandwich boards from that development surround the site.

Haven't seen a thread yet on UT, even though this application is 4.5 months old....

Proposal for site plan approval for the lands at 1439 Bloor W and 80 Perth St for 12 storey mixed use building with retail at grade - 2 stories below grade parking - 120 parking spaces .

God I hope it's decent architecture here! A red brick aA building would do wonders here.

^Yeah that was it. There was an old house (station guard?) or structure on the corner that was kind of cool. Sure, it was rundown, but a nice fixer upper.

This area is picking up--on the SE corner of Bloor and Perth, a new vintage clothing store has just opened, "Nest," in the house on the corner. Across the street, a new bar is about to open.

What old house? All I remember is a horrible Budget truck rental that looked like a Nairobi shantytown.

It was last used as a U-Haul rental lot. Here are some photos from just before demo. Sadly, I didn't actually take any photos from the Bloor side:

Let's hope for better architecture than what they have for Fuse Condos. Something like North Drive's 1990 Bloor would work well here.

I wonder if we'll see a redevelopment of the Value Village (couple blocks east) someday?

Well this has (rightfully) fallen off everyone's radar but they seem to have built a rental office or sales centre on site. Not sure if the disappointing pile below is what's still planned but...
