Apartment complex with almost 1,500 units proposed near Georgetown GO station

Public consultation on the project is expected in the spring

A developer is eyeing land just east of the Georgetown GO station for a three-building, 1481-unit apartment complex.

The Town has received the proposal from Gilbach Inc. for 130 Mountainview Rd. N., which is bounded by River Drive to the north, the GO station tracks to the south and the historic paper coating mill to the west. An integral part of the buildings’ designs are six towers of varying heights – from 17 to 22 storeys.

Town of Halton Hills is coming to the end of a consultation on a new Secondary Plan that will include this site. https://letstalkhaltonhills.ca/the-georgetown-go-station-area

The latest consultation on November 27, 2024, included this conceptual plan for the area. The Town would like to see a through road from Mountainview Road N to north of the GO station but this will need the cooperation of the adjacent parcel owner.
