Unbelievably beautiful new 5-unit live/work from Zinc Developments.

Only thing I worry about is when you Google the 'architect', Diego Sefercheoglou, the only thing that comes up is a rendering / visualizations company based jointly in Argentina in Miami...

It also appears that they have not yet applied for any rezoning, committee of adjustment or permits.

Still:

Wow. Here's hoping that if this goes forward that they spend the moolah required to turn this vision into reality without destroying the minimalist beauty of the plans!

Seems that Dupont is slowly turning into a hot zone for development. I'm looking forward to seeing that cruddy street get a makeover.

This isn't going to be on Dupont, it's actually going to be laneway housing of a sort. It's located on Designer's Walk Lane, behind the live/work units at 119 Dupont. So no beautification for Dupont itself.

But it's pretty cool to see laneway housing. We need more of it in Toronto!

Wow! I didn't think that this had any legs. Very happy that Zinc (I imagine) has (hopefully) submitted the above proposal! Its gorgeous simplicity would be an architectural gamechanger if it were detailed as the renders imply.

Let's hope!

It would be a sign of hope if something this aesthetically pure could be fully realized without any of the inevitable revisions that seem to always trend towards mediocrity.

Wow that looks amazing, to bad it's going be isolated off a major road but I'll still take that anyday over plain blue/green box. Should we be worried though that the renderings show condo but proposal is for office?

Sorry to disappoint people - but this one has changed - and it has changed a lot. The cladding is now fibre cement panels with fibre glass windows.

Cummulus Architects are designing it - it looks like a fairly new firm with the 2 founders having worked at Kasian up to last year.

There's this small 3d rendering on the front page of the architectural plans on the planning site.

Predictable. Why even get excited over renderings anymore? We're always let down in the end.

It's disappointing, however the building is tucked away in the middle of a laneway. Whether it's pretty or not, not many people will ever get to see it.
