As a next door neighbour of this proposal, I was worried. After seeing the details of the proposal, I am relieved. It will block a little more light, but will actually be a pleasant addition to the cityscape in the Bay/Bloor area! A pleasant surprise!!

I was expecting something really junky but I also am pleasantly surprised! Good choice picking Hariri Pontarini, that is assuring in itself. With a few minor refinements this could be a really striking tower.

Site of the proposal in context. Owners of east-facing units in U Condos won't be happy about this.

Yeah, this tower is cool to me. Keeping and even adding to the office portion of the building is excellent. Hopefully those balconies break the wind running down the building (yeah, I know they study this stuff).

For reference, the U Condo towers are about 184m and 157m. Those western views from the top will probably keep forever.

Also, having HP on Bay here will break the architects alliance stronghold on Bay St glass towers (aka the aAlley?).

I'm not much for all glass Style buildings but I like this one. I hope they keep the height at what it is. Because it really makes the building stand gracefully having a view of Queens park and the university.

^ yeah that's my concern too, I hope its gets approved at the proposed height. any expertise on what are the chances of this getting approved at proposed height?
