Well, your photos certainly do not show it in a very good light or very well focused. It is certainly not 'iconic' but (as many photos and discussion above show) it has its supporters and strengths.

I know it looks a bit better up close.

I really dislike the southcore buildings that look like this one too. They are all real perfunctory grim office buildings without an iota of personality. I guess we need those?

The angles on the building are sharp. It does “boxy” really well.

I've really grown on this building over the past few months and now think the skyline would look sort of incomplete without if that makes sense. It's a box but it's a high quality one and that dark blue glass really helps to distinguish it.

Sugar Wharf and Daniels towers are much worse/blander than this building IMO. They're number one on the chopping block in my fantasy skyline.
