I like this building but I wish it had the warm brassy color that was suggested in the renderings. I walked by today and noticed that a large area of the street had been torn up and filled with an ashphalt patch rather than replaced with the pavers that had been removed. WTF is it with this city. Millions were recently spent to pave Yorkville Ave. with stone then the city decides to shit on it. I will post photos soon.
I'll admit that I think it's gotten better with height. The 'ribbon' effect ascending the building is softer and less cheap looking when you can watch it move up the building. But I still think that the materials used are too cheap to express the intended design.
