Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I love Citigroup Place. I just wish it were taller.

Seconded on both counts. It's one of Parkin's last good buildings before the firm really lost its way in the late 80s. I believe at that time they were still located next door in 151 Front.

Amazing
Your photos rock!

Great set of New York photos. Looks like you covered a lot of ground. I have a similar "Soup Man" photo!

The changes to the Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Jersey City skylines will really be dramatic in the coming years.

Anyway, Thanks for sharing.

Blast me for self promotion if you will, but Ice makes an appearance as the lead character's condo in this sci-fi webseries episode produced by my production company:

You'll also spot Sick Kids tower and others.

Thanks for viewing them and your feedback. It's a wonderful city to take photos of.

Acknowledging of course that it would be incredibly difficult to lease (at least at this point), it would be amazing to see retail / active uses on minor streets like Grand Trunk Cres.

gotta say when I had first heard of these when they were in. the rendering phase still I seriously didnt think the council would approve such nice looking and dare i say futuristic towers like these. really sets the bar now for non-box towers.

Council's approvals never have anything to do with how buildings look. Well, maybe not never, but so close to never that the number of times they have cared about looks is statistically insignificant. They are interested in numbers; density, height, Section 37 benefits, things like that, which as long as the Planning Department say are good numbers, are generally prepared to vote as recommended.
