I thought this merited its own thread as it doesn't fit neatly into any other.
On November 20th, the TRCA Board of Directors had before it a report on the state of of the dams and flood control structures within its jurisdiction.
There would seem to some reason to be concerned.
I wouldn't wish to exaggerate, many of the dams/structures at greatest risk of failure also have a fairly low risk harming people and property if they do.
Still, there's a bit of work to be done, much of which is not yet funded:
