The new 'Ashbridges Pond' on Woodbine Beach is quite beautiful...

Crashing waves and strong winds from recent storms have pooled vast amounts of water on to Woodbine Beach creating a huge trapped pond. I live nearby and this pond has been my muse over the past few weeks. Here are a couple of teasers of the photos I've taken. A link to the album appears below.

Nice. I don't get out that way often, so I'm not so familiar with the landscape. I wouldn't have even guessed that the one with the lake, houses, and crane in the background is even Toronto.

I checked it out today during the storm. It's a fascinating landscape with that narrow sliver of land between the lake and the flooded beach:

The flooding and waves gave the lake a maritime quality. It reminded me of many a vacation in Florida when a storm was passing through.
