They are indeed working on the hotel "back of house" floors. It is a complex floor and they will be working on it for at least another two weeks. We're still two floors away from a standard floor plate.

My understanding is that, with the 'architectural' spire (as opposed to FCP's transmission towers) atop the quarter onion, Trump will surpass the roofline of FCP making it the tallest in the city (by some measures). Is this the case?
 
To the spire I believe. It'll be the second tallest when completed.

According to SSP:

FCP Antenna: 355 m
FCP Roof: 296 m
Trump Spire: 281.9 m
Trump Roof: 256.9 m
Scotia: 274.9 m
 
Hmm...it might look strange for that spire to not even clear Scotia, let alone FCP. Too bad Trump got cut down. Would have made a perfect 'peak' to the skyline.
 
The west side of the floor for level 8 - hotel back of house (9th floor) was poured over the weekend. Framing is still being worked on for the east side.
