I know we've discussed the ideas in this study in one or more other threads, I thought we had a dedicated thread, but can't find it.

Needless to say, the high-concept level plan for the areas generally east of Kennedy and west of the GO Stouffville Line is now complete.

The plan lays out one new complete street, one extended complete street, improvements to Sheppard Avenue and a new Multi-use path, among other area changes.

The report on all this goes to next week's Infrastructure and Environment Ctte:

It will impact a proposed development discussed in this thread:

D-1 is the preferred alignment.

Encouraging, but needs tweaks.

Still some right turn lanes which need to go; Gordon doesn't need a light onto Sheppard when Kennedy is so close; curbs need to extend further; narrow Sheppard to get rid of the dead space beside the left turn lane. And the whole area needs upzoning to make better use of the GO station.

The Cowdray and underpass street intersection should be a roundabout.

Would also be good to extend the planned Sheppard East rebuild all the way here. Remind me--is that project going east of the 404 or no?

Save those dead space until they can decide what sort of rapid transit they are putting on Sheppard; could be useful later on.
