Does anyone have any updates on this project? Looks like there's been no action for a while.

The development application for this site was last submitted in November 25, 2019 and has a status of "Under Review" for the longest time.
How long does it take for the city to approve projects of this size? They seem to take forever.

Any updates on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

The quality and detailing is definitely there. I wonder what types of businesses end up moving in here. Unfortunately, it's not in a very pedestrian friendly location and there isn't an immediate critical mass of local population nearby. And there's already a large amount of retail at the main Stockyards core just east of here. I imagine eventually this may be more suitable for office, design studio, craft workshop, mixed in with specific catered retail.

The owner of 2650-2672 St. Clair Avenue West has appealed its Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision applications for the site to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) citing City Council's failure to make a decision on the applications within the time prescribed by the Planning Act. A Pre-Hearing Conference of the LPAT has not been scheduled.

This report recommends that the City Solicitor, together with appropriate staff, be directed to attend the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal hearing to oppose the appeal respecting the Zoning By-law Amendment application (File No. 18 208427 WET 11 OZ) and to co-ordinate with the Chief Planner in connection with the associated appeal of the Draft Plan of Subdivision application (File No.18 208431 WET 11 SB), as proposed at 2650-2672 St. Clair Avenue West.
 
It's very attractive and well detailed in person. There is an interesting circular staircase in the main entrance - glare in the glass made it impossible for me to photograph that feature.

On the front and rear sides there are bays for parallel parking, which is an interesting touch:

Shame that it's just townhomes being planned behind this. The area needs more critical mass population in order to make retail thrive here. Would've preferred to see them go mid-rise residential.
 
A phat Loblaws would fit nicely into this building.
