Time for an east-west pipeline?

I understand what you mean, and I'm generally supportive.......but....

I need to point out that, Sarnia is served an existing east-west pipeline that happens to flow from Canada, through the U.S. into Sarnia. (shortest route)

A new build pipeline from the west, such as 'Energy East' would likely bypass Sarnia entirely en route to Montreal and/or St. John

Is there any indication that Energy East is anything but dead and mouldering in its grave? Any of the recent proposals to move product east have been for Natural Gas.

Sarnia is connected to both Line 9 (from the west via the US) and Line 5 connecting Montreal (through Toronto).

No.

But I was merely using it as an example of any potential west to east pipeline.

That such a line, whatever its contents, if located entirely in Canada, would be unlikely to service Sarnia.

Indeed.

Sarnia is connected to both Line 9 (from the west via the US) and Line 5 connecting Montreal (through Toronto).

No question.

Line 9, of course, is controversial in the U.S. with a lot of opposition. But seems safe............

Nobody is thrilled about an oil pipeline in their neighbourhood but it does seem safe. The US government is evaluating an application to tunnel under the Mackinaw Strait (as opposed to simply lying on the bottom.

Currently in the process of re-editing a lot of old photos. I have barely even touched 2020 and 2021, which includes many Sarnia pictures. These particular ones from 2022 I just re-edited and posted here immediately. Honestly, 2020 and 2021 was such a weird time, my mind wasn't in the right place, so it will be kinda painful to look back and revisit all those photos. I had just bought my first new camera in 18 years for a trip to Vietnam which of course had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and I ended up wandering aimlessly alone throughout Sarnia instead.

Even these photos, the security were following me around and the police came to question me but somehow I didn't care. I am not sure I even knew what this place was until I came up close and saw the logos of the oil companies. In the first photo, I was just relaxing in Guthrie Park by the river south of Sarnia and I looked behind me and I was like, "Wow, what is that? That's kinda cool. I should take a picture." Then next day I walked to this place took the rest of the photos, so it was all on a whim. In retrospect, it is kind of hard to capture what Sarnia is all about without these photos, so I am glad I took them, but I probably wouldn't do it again.
