Is it time to rethink retail parking lot safety and design? The bollards at the Costco near me look wide enough for a car to slip between. They should add bollards, but space them to still allow the carts to slip through.

I think they're that far apart specifically to fit cars, fork lifts and trucks into the front doors.

I agree they should be closer together, like here in front of Best Buy.

Jeez....

Considering the damage to the Ford, I have to say that bollard is made of stout stuff. A coat of paint and it's likely good to go. They don't go that far down into the ground, but obviously sufficient so.
