Is that a proper running track or is it just painted concrete?

It looks like it might be asphalt? Not that nice rubberized surface, unfortunately. And the corners look oddly sharp, and don't appear to be banked. Still, better than nothing, I guess. The field looks great, at least.

With the warm weather yesterday I saw people using the new athletic grounds, fences are still up though. Has there been an announcement of when the field will be opened? They were installing/testing the flood lights a few months ago.

Basketball court is largely finished (oh wait - some nets required). Apparently official opening for new Athletic Grounds is June 29th.
