Supercrawl is this weekend and it gave me the idea to start a mirror of the Toronto Public Art thread for Hamilton. To kick it off I wanted to share my favourite new piece of public art added to the city earlier this year during Concrete Canvas fest.
As you can see, the outline of a bird has been painted on the side of a parking garage. But there’s a twist. Nearby on the back of a sign is a QR code you can scan where a website opens up and you can interactively paint the bird on your phone. During the festival, peoples submissions were projected onto the outline at night. Hopefully they can bring that part back in the future!
