Hi all,

Wondering if people could post what they feel are the more pressing issues in Toronto planning. I've just been accepted to a Master's program and am in the process of determining what my focus will be. I have several ideas, but still looking for something that is pressing for Torontonians and will have long-time relevance.

Thank you

Good luck!

I'll be starting my masters degree in Planning this fall at York and I've decided to focus on Tourism and Venue-centred community planning. Both of these are broad enough that they can apply to both Toronto or any city or town in the world. While of course I'll narrow things down a bit by the time I write my thesis, it's what interests me. My advise (while maybe naive) would be to simply figure out what you're interested in in general and then see where that applies to Toronto.

Also, you're in the right place if you want to know about pressing planning issues in the city. Just take a look around and you'll easily stumble across many discussions with some wide-ranging views and good debates.

Hey Torontopete.

Welcome to UT

I would say that the OMB and its place is a very interesting topic concerning planning in Toronto and in Ontario.

Where are you doing your masters?
