I find the location superb when using transit downtown The access when coming back has me cruising in before the big jam at Windermere and the Lake Shore.
Love living here!

Interesting, I wonder if the other lands between Lakeshore and the Gardiner will be opened up for development. It could create a sound wall against the Gardiner and reduce the speed of cars on the Lakeshore, making the parks along the lake quite enjoyable. Then all that will be missing is some sort of rapid transit...

I believe that after the piece now up for sale, there only remains one other plot of land that is not a park between Lake Shore Blvd. and the Gardiner, and that is the parking lot immediately east of Park Lake residences. Not sure who owns it. Is it a utility? Anyone know?

Anyway, I cannot imagine Lake Shore Blvd decreasing in speed to any degree.

The piece of land that's for sale at the moment was intended by the city to implement another public parking section. Why did they change their minds as per the waterfront master plan?

Rumours have it that Four points Sheraton is closing in a month or so. Anyone have any idea why?

I called and they mentioned that their last day of operations will be October 13,2012.

I hope whatever they build doesn't block my view!

I doubt there will be a new project, although it would be exciting. Perhaps a new hotel chain will take over. The thing is though, they are constantly busy, so somehow I find lack of funds is related to the closure. It states they're closing on their website as well...

The Starwood website says that it is leaving the Starwood system on October 17 and that reservations after that date will not be eligible for Starwood points, etc. So sounds like it is just switching to another hotel operator. If so, that's too bad. Would be great to see a nice hotel here.

Some of the staff stated that they no longer have a job after that date...

I've also heard a rumor that a gentleman from "Liban" (Lebanon) purchased the property.
