Oh..I guess they are doing it ass backwards..usually with all developments fronting the tracks they build the wall/barrier first. To me it looks like the TCHC building is already being built.
And yes, i hope no gravy is thrown around on this.
 
Doesn't look like the development is fronting the tracks. There is a pile of earth between the tracks and the development. Im assuming the TCHC building has less parking than Cityplace buildings, so there is no need to build a wall along the rail line. The wall you see along the rail line separates the parking lots from the rail line.

you are right and to me it all ends up looking rather forced and overbearing...

regarding the railway barrier wall, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I was under the impression that it would be continued all the way along to Bathurst St. That seems to make sense from a safety/security point of view as well as an aesthetics point of view. Guess we'll keep watching...

April 11: Went up a level today

That's 5 floors in a month for the cylinder.

I still have high hopes for this project in terms of awe factor since its just so massive, and the sky-bridge, but I'm also starting to see that it is overbearing, heavy-looking, and has an institutional feel.
