They stole one of our Toyota Tacoma trucks last week. One would think that Toyota would have better vehicle immobilizer on their vehicles.

I believe the immobilizer works fine, you can't hotwire a Toyota. But if someone can duplicate the key signal, the immobilizer won't be activated and off they go.
