Ontario court finds Hi-Rise Group acted in bad faith on pre-sale contract cancellations

Basically, Hi-Rise Group decided that it no longer wanted to build a condo project in Scarborough, and wanted to build rentals instead. To escape its legal obligation to build the condos, it demanded that buyers provide proof of their ability to afford their new home, and then rejected any documents that were provided in response as insufficient.
