Hu Jintao dragged out of the closing ceremony of the party conference today. There's speculation as to why but I think it's pretty clearly a show of force, since Li Keqiang and Wang Yang were both snubbed of central committee positions. Essentially a complete neutering of Hu's faction and any remaining power he might have as Xi completely consolidates his own power.
