Moving To Toronto

Welcome Mike. You have to provide more details than that. Give us some information to work with to help you out. Roughly where are you looking to settle (east/west/uptown/central), bach/1bdrm/2bdrm, price range, do you want central air/balcony/gym, condo/basement/apartment rental... etc.

I'll be working full time then attending college full time in Sept '08. Id like to be able to spend around $700 - $750 on a one bedroom or bachelor in what I think is reffered to as 'old toronto", is that workable?

That should be workable and is around the going price for a decent bachelor. I'd suggest you try the following methods:
- Craigslist
- A physical copy of the Toronto Star (their online search is the most useless piece of crap ever)
- myhood.ca

Where is your school and how are you planning to get there? Be sure to factor this in to which neighbourhoods you're willing to consider.

We probably can't suggest a particular nabe or building that fits your needs. However, when you are considering a nabe (or even a particular highrise if that's something you're considering) this forum should be extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

If you have any specific questions about neighbourhoods, just ask :)

I'd also suggest you take a look at residences if your going to college/university.

realtors can help

you know, even though you're renting, you can get the help of a real estate agent. I think usually they look for condos for rent, and get a commission from the landlord.
