So the final report for Midtown in Focus is up at Planning and Growth Ctte for July 5.

Planning studies such as these often feature many tiny tweaks to zoning by-laws, density permissions, and some ambitions around community facilities.

This study has all of those, but also a couple of 'bold' ideas that may intrigue folks here at UT.

The report recommends feasibility studies for decking over the subway trench north of Davisville Avenue for new parks space.

It also suggests examining decking over the Davisville subway yard for a combination of new development and expansion of Oriole Park.

There are many other items of interest here as well. Links below.

At the next meeting of Infrastructure and Environment Ctte on May 25, a report on implementing the infrastructure wishlist, mostly originating w/the above report will be on the agenda.

From the above we begin with a mostly generic sounding action list............but note items 7 and 8 which deal w/decking over the subway trench and Davisville yard.

Now we get into some of the details on where assorted specific projects stand such as Parks, Recreation Ctrs, Libraries, Childcare etc.

There's a long list of terminology in the report itself, here I will just post the tables; should you wish to understand what a term means you can follow the link to report, or just ask and I will endeavour to answer.

And more.......there's a whole public realm section too. But I'm out of space!

There is a lot of potential in this document. Hopefully if they go ahead with covering up the subway giving them the motivation and courage to deck over other parts including the Allen!
