Finch West Line 6 LRT

With what money?

One thing that a lot of people seem to forget is that while he proposed all of those lines, he didn't offer any funding to allow them to be built.

Dan

With the Ford brothers, anything they don't use is "gravy". (They didn't have much of an education, for example, so that is unimportant to Doug today.) They don't use public transit (except for photo ops), so public transit is also unimportant and not needed for them.

According to the Ford brothers, the universe revolves around them and their supporters. Everyone else is peripheral.

Exactly what I was thinking. Miller would have done everything to ensure that we got the promised LRT lines, including Finch. Hell, we could have had Transit City by now....
We would have 5 more garbage strikes and overpaid workers. The Sheppard Line would be shut down on weekends to pay for them. Don't worry, no one is losing their job.

Nothing else besides Crosstown, Finch West, Sheppard East and SRT replacement would be built cause the Liberals wouldn't fund them.

TO still has the same problem it had a decade ago. No source of significant source of funding for big projects.

Having those LRT's built without the further delays and cancellations that Ford caused, as well as his rhetoric, would still have left things better off for LRT in the province, and transit in Toronto

reality is that this is the only shot for above ground LRT in Toronto. If it sucks post opening, that's it for LRT.

Definte realistic, because Waterloo and Ottawa still have problems with their light rail lines.
waterloo has problems?
If you have realistic expectations it won't suck. If your mentality is subway subway subway and everything else should be a bus then yes it will suck.
Have you seen the Ottawa thread.
