CF Masonville Place, located at 1680 Richmond Street in North London, has had a plan for a proposed redevelopment of its parking lots, first revealed to the public in summer 2019. At the time, the development plan consisted of five towers, with 22s, 20s, and 18s buildings on a single podium on the west side of the mall fronting Richmond, a 16s tower with a massive podium on the south side of the mall fronting Sunnyside, and a large midrise building attached to a large parkade on the east side of the mall fronting North Centre. However, this development application was put on ice while the City of London started developing the Masonville Secondary Plan for the area, and all planning documents are unfortunately no longer available on the city website. The Masonville Secondary Plan was finally implemented in July 2023 after an OLT Case resulted in the province accepting Cadillac Fairview's and CP REIT's requests to modify some sections of the Secondary Plan. Now that the Secondary Plan is finally in effect, it is likely that CF will put in a new application in the near future, and it is likely to be much denser than the original application.
This area would have been served by the North BRT leg, had it not been cancelled by the City of London.
Some images are still floating around of what was proposed, as well as some City of London renderings used to envision various density options for a fully built-out Masonville area.
