as a freelance Photographer for hire and avid reader of the Urban Toronto boards, I thought I would share some of my local photography here.
Skylines, waterfronts, monuments, and other happenings around the city.

Over time, I hope to update this thread regularly.

A GO Train arrives at Rouge Hill GO Station.

Reduce, reuse, recycle. This art installation features a combination of street lights bundled together. Located on Front St. East. towards Bayview.

The Front Street installation comes alive with the street lights turning on after dark.

One of Toronto's more-recent landmarks: the Humber Bay Arch Bridge at sunset.

Taking the city by surprise, a two-in-one art installation has drifted into Nathan Philips Square this week. Half icebergs, half remnants of civilization, these resin sculptures
are meant to represent the negative ramifications of the melting polar ice caps.

Minutes away from Main Street station, the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant has also been used as the set piece for several Hollywood movies.

A Photography acquaintance of mine from Germany once referred to Toronto as "one big art gallery".

Tucked away within Bay street's financial district is a large bronze Elephant statue; one of the largest of it's kind in the world.
If you look closely, you may also notice two baby elephants statues trailing close behind.
Location: Commerce Court West Fountain (199 Bay street).

The Commerce Court West building contains floral decals over the building's windows.

Entitled "Dreaming", this art installation was created by Spanish artist and sculptor Jaume Plensa in 2020 to mark the completion of the Richmond Adelaide Centre
building.

Interestingly, this art installation also acts as an optical illusion; with the sculpture's face becoming more distorted depending on which direction the piece is viewed from.

As a freelance Photographer for hire, I've spent a lot of time exploring our beautiful city. From tourism articles showcasing important landmarks
to historical pieces covering Toronto's rich history. Simply put, Toronto has so much to offer visitors both near and far.

Today's photoset starts with a destination where history and daily commutes converge. A few of the sculptures from Museum Station:

An aboriginal bear sculpture inspired by monuments found at a First Nations inlet in British Columbia.

King Tut's Sarcophagus and the other pillars greet commuters to Museum Station.

The SkyWalk is a series of overpass tunnels serving as a convenient shortcut to the Great Hall, Ripley's Museum and Union Station.

Eagerly awaiting their chance to play: statues of young Hockey players in front of the Spirit of Hockey & Hockey Hall of Fame buildings downtown Toronto.

A bronze statue of James Beaty (Canadian member of parliament) stands in Toronto's King George courtyard. The location of the statue looks across
to the building where (among other accolades) James Beaty wrote his "Toronto Leader" newspaper.

Three bronze statues stand before a granite column downtown Toronto. Known as the South African War Memorial, this monument honours the lives
of Canadian soldiers lost in the South African War. Erected in 1910, the monument resides at University Avenue and Queen Street West.

As a popular tourist destination, Nathan Phillips Square is home to many exciting events. Over this past weekend, the annual Dragon Festival returned to Toronto:

Ukrainian flags continue to rise above the upper level walkways facing City Hall.
