Hello there good UT forum members...I was hoping I could mine your collective knowledge of toronto hotels (downtown) - I'm shooting a short film and need a decent hotel room with a balcony to shoot in for a night. (and no, it's not porn.)

by decent I'm thinking under $400 taxes in.

would anybody be able to reccomend anything?? the high end boutique hotels, soho and le germain are beautiful, but cost $500-600 and up. no can do.

I think I've seen the delta with balconies, but I'm not sure.

any ideas???

it would be so greatly appreciated.

If you go to expedia.ca and search for hotels in Toronto, most have exterior pics that accompany the rate results. You should be able to determine which have balconies. You could call the hotel directly to reserve and specifically request a room with a balcony.

Both the Soho and Le Germain start under $400 per room, but you'll have to check to make sure the ~$300 rooms have balconies.

If you don't need anything fancy, there's the Town Inn Suites at Church and Charles. All the rooms have big balconies.

thanks BuildTO...the website doesn't really have any pictures of the balconies, but the rooms look just fine. I'm going to go check that out tonight. thanks again!

Courtyard Marriott at Yonge & Wood (north of Carlton) has balconies in the south tower
