Heintzman Place (formerly Village By High Park, Junction, Options, 23s, Burka)

The north side could actually pass for a '30s industrial warehouse, and for that I actually like it. I'm not a big fan of the south side though, it's neither convincing as an old warehouse or a modern condo. It's just sort of stuck in some architectural purgatory.

You're probably being sarcastic, but I actually do like it for that reason. Unpretentious, monumental. It fits the Junction's blue-collar aesthetic.

And I'll take this stuff over 90% of the buildings being built on the Etobicoke lakeshore.

No I actually meant that sincerely!

The compressed view from the zoom really emphasizes how much this building looms over the Junction. The massing is almost oppressive.

Haha you must be kidding! This building is utterly hideous (not to say every part of Toronto doesn't have its uglies).

Some October 6 photos.

Unless you are looking for this building, most people will miss it. If you are coming down Old Weston Road at the rail crossing and south of St Clair on Keele, you cannot miss the building.

Most of the landscaping is done now. Most of the retail units still not sold.
