Would you like to see Maple Leaf Gardens turned into a flashy casino?

Anyone know the latest on the future of the Gardens? It's my old neighborhood and I would like to see it refurbished with some modern additions and lighting to make it look good and open it up as a casino. Toronto and Ontario could sure use the cash, and lots of it. If you are worried about addiction, there are far worse addiction problems not related to gambling. The cash coming in would far outweigh the risks. We would greatly benefit from the casino.

I don't know about the Gardens, but I can see the future of this thread as DELETED.

Er, I mean discreetly moved to another forum.

Projects

Actually I found the subject in Projects and Construction and I thought that is where I was posting my question. After I posted it I saw it in was done in Toronto Issues. I do not know how it happened, but when it did I thought it was appropriate. I think it is a good issue for Toronto to consider. We can sure use the cash.

It has been moved to Toronto Issues because it is not an actual project, just a hypothetical one you are proposing.

I like this idea. It sure beats a Loblaws. Getting it done, however, is a probably a non-starter as the province has already rejected proposals for a permanent casino in Toronto.

On June 7 I was able to snap this photo of a rainbow over Maple Leaf Gardens, and caught lightning over the east end of the city as the storm moved in. Funny thing was, a week later on Jun 14 I could have taken a very similar photo again, with a new rainbow in the same location, and lots of lightning again.

What I would like to do is move the Hockey Hall of Fame to MLG, and have the proposed Toronto Museum move into the current HHF site.
