First I should say that I have become a fan of the new(ish) Urbantoronto front page. Its great to see highlights of some of the more interesting projects without having to wade through all the pages of the forum.

The question I had is whether there is any intention of also including more general articles on the front page related to urban issues and development. Here I am thinking of pieces that are a bit closer to essays or editorials. Not sure whether this has been discussed among those that run the site but I always thought it would be a good fit.

As with anything it comes down to money. We have a small editorial team so we can only do so much. Right now we don't have enough in ad revenue. If ad sales increase we hope to be able to expand the editorial significantly.
