Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

DeSantis has dropped out and has endorsed Trump.

Good riddance, not that what remains is any better. Endorsing Trump is the very worst sycophancy. All that remains of this Republican farce is whether Haley bows down before the anointed one.

He is going up against a very unpopular President in Joe Biden. Joe Biden is facing many of the same problems Jusitn Trudeau is facing. The cost of living crisis. Joe Biden has the added burden of the US getting involved in multiple wars.

Trump ahead in every poll, though, only by 1 point in the most recent.

However, given the way U.S. presidential elections are set up, its really key to consider data from the swing states. In that vein, here's the most recent from Pennsylvania:

I think we're still too far out to draw any worthwhile insights from the polls. They don't matter much until 90 or so days out and they nearly always converge to a tight race.

He's wrong more often than right. And he's making plenty of assumptions here. He talks, for example, about how military voters will be mad at abortion voters. Yet, then we see articles like this where a retired Lt. Col says he wants to tear down the system.
