Vaughan Expo City: Expo 1,2, & Nord | ?m | 38s | Cortel Group | AJT Architects

Vaughan has a very ambitious multi-decade plan to create a downtown in this area, and you're not going to do that with new single family homes. Developments of the scale of Expo are needed to start the transformation. Sure it's no neighbourhood yet, but a couple of years from now the first residents of Expo will be within walking distance of a subway station. That's a start at least.

Rare case where the final product looks better than the render. IMO, the render looked tacky while the finished product manages not to.

Totally agree. The renderings looked extremely outdated and tacky which is partly why this is a pleasant surprise. ;)

Don't care for the fins. They don't look too bad from some angles considering what they are but, add girth in others. Decent window wall helped by having no balconies.
