No problem. Was hoping the balcony glass had arrived, but no such luck. I'm curious to see what kind of treatment it gets, some of the renders show the glass being clear yet in others it looks frosted.

19 July 2014: Everytime I see this development I scratch my head and ask: why?

It just seems stupid and misguided to allow tall towers in such a wasteland. Why not spread the love via a 6 storey height limit and create a long beautiful streetwall in the area instead? Oh and hire a talented architectural designer.

From Dufferin Street--I recall this vista was much more pleasant in the 1980s.

You do of course realize that they plan on building many highrises up there right?

Oh, you mean when all you could see was and endless sea of hydro towers?

I'd have to say I agree with you. Granted Downtown Toronto's towers are beginning to push 40 and even 50 stories most are in and around the 35 story height (at least to my knowledge). To put a tower that tall into what effectively is going to be a satellite downtown (and one of many in the GTA) I wish they would have capped all buildings at a maximum height of 30 stories and created a dense node around the station that tapers out as you move away from the centre.

Why cap everything at 30 storeys here as opposed to any other arbitrary number? I'm not sure what your real problem with going high here is. There are no single-family homes in the area to shadow with this building. There will be a subway station within walking distance of this development, so new buildings here should bring significant density.
