ElChico905 to become ElChico416

I must admit that this tread is a bit of a re-hash of another 905ers announcement of a move.

I've been in the 905 since the area code was created, and now it's time for me to stop my 160km daily commute and move within walking distance to work. I got a nice one bedroom apartment in North York, 22nd floor! I'll miss the country scenery and nice parks, but with the drive I didn't get to see much of it during the week anyways. Now I have to re-learn where all my favorite stores are and visit my old haunts on the weekend.

Should I make a new thread called Brighter Hell705 to become Brighter Hell905? :b

Congrats on the move, I'm making a similar one, from a 55 km drive each way to a 7 block walk.

Thanks.

It's three then it's a trend right?

I thought it was worth a mention because I'm stuck with 905 in my name forever. I have a 15 minute (1km) walk. To bad my apartment faces away from the office, otherwise I could look out a window to see if the cleaning lady is going through my things.

Actually no, the forum will be moving soon. So ElChico416 here you come!

^ that's good news. I'll probably just go with ElChico in case I move again.

I'm in North York not far from York University. 22nd floor offering a breathtaking view of....Brampton.

i should have announced that indense416 became indense+31(0)20 in january.

congrats on the move - it's amazing how much being able to walk to work improves your life.

Sorry, but newcomers must be forever branded with the 647-area code, in order to separate the established 416-Torontonians. So that's ElChico647 for you :)

My wife and I kept our 416 number when we moved to Fredericton, since we knew we'd be going back to TO. We changed it to a business line, with forwarding via Bell.ca to our home e-mail.

We're trying to get back to Fredericton now to get our house sold, but there's a big snow storm coming in Montreal and further east; so we're here in the Beach at the mother-in-laws waiting to leave, likely on Tuesday.

Snow in mid-April and well below seasonal temps for southern Ontario for the last weeks. So much for global warming...of course that's why the enviro-lobby changed the term to climate change, since that covers everything, rains in July, blame CG, sub-zero in April, blame CG. I know, I know....

Nope, I have a 416 number. Thank you cell-to-home number portability.
