So what will be done on eglinton west? Does anyone know why Ford ended the crosstown at Jane?

Ford didn't end it at Jane. That was the plan from early 2010 when McGuinty bumped the piece from Jane to Pearson to an unfunded Phase 2 after 2020.

Presumably the plan is unchanged, that it will be extended as surface LRT to Pearson sometime after 2020, as per the approved EA. I'd expect everyone is keeping very quiet about this though, as even if Ford is re-elected, his second term would be finished in 2018, so the decision doesn't have to be made until a long time after he's gone.
