Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

does anyone know what wayside communications system they will use and where they will be dispatched from? Like for example will they use the vision system the TTC has been installing on buses and streetcars or will they have something else? also will all communications be thropugh Mount Denis or with Transit control?

What about those lights running on AC power. No need to convert high voltage AC from those power lines to 750V DC to just convert back to 120V AC.
Again: never heard of a transformer? It can do that.

Back to the Crosstown, it won't because that's a silly way to do it. But it's also certainly been done elsewhere around the planet for any number of different reasons.

A transformer can't convert AC to DC or DC to AC. For the former, you need a rectifier, for the latter, you need an inverter.

Besides some small signs that say Danger due to energized OCS nothing else has really changed. The everyday Joe has no idea what OCS even means.
probbobly more for construction workers than members of the public, loys of times now when thy are working around power lines they put up signs that say danger due to overhead powerlines.

Agreed. It probably has to do with the OHSA as well as liability. If they don't post signage and people start touching live wires they can be sued for not making people aware (and probably lose).

The Virtual presentation for Crosstown Central East from Laird to the Science Centre was released today. It contains an interesting new section on East Testing and Commissioning. Here is what it says: "• In late May, light rail vehicles (LRVs) will be delivered to the east end of the alignment to conduct testing and commissioning activities between Brentcliffe Road and Kennedy Road..".Here is the link to the presentation PDF. https://www.metrolinxengage.com/sites/default/files/centraleastoh_may52021final2_1.pdf

I swear every presentation they introduce a brand new map like this, and each and every time its full of mistakes or looks bad.

EDIT: Looking at the map itself, they're now planning 15 minute all day service to Aldershot? That's new

I definitely see the inclusion of the GO/ST station for Gerrard-Carlaw and the dot issue mentioned by @duffo but what are some of the other mistakes/typos?
A station at Yorkdale along the Barrie Line.

The dots east of Oshawa.

Lawrence East GO Station? or Agincourt?
