The old George’s Play has signage in the windows for “Mandy’s” (looks like the same branding as Mandy’s Bistro on the Danforth).

Oh, that's interesting. I talked to Mandy a few months ago and they made no mention of a possible expansion.

Good to see bakeries coming to this part of downtown. There has hasn't been any good bakeries in this area for as long as I can remember. I notice not far away at Wellesley and Sherbourne another new bakery looks set to open soon. It's called "Sweet Addictions" and is in the former location of Domino's on Sherbourne. Their google listing says "pastries" so not sure what else they have in store. I'm hoping they have fresh Danishes and butter tarts along with cakes and breads.
