A public meeting will be held on March 21, 2006 (6-9:00 pm) at Enoch Turner School House, 106 Trinity Street to discuss the West Don Lands Transit EA.
You can meet with the project team as well look at the boards until 6.45.
A presentation will take place at 6.45 and it will be follow by a workshop.
The prefer routing is the full length of the street south of King St.
A proposal is to connect this route to King St going west is to run it up between the support for the Richmond-Adelaide interchange.
Two charrette meetings have been held in the plan area and working drawing produce for 5 option. Based on last week meeting, the prefer option is for a transit mall running south of Eastern Ave to the underpass. The current width of the street would be unchanged.
This was follow by transit running on the east side of the street similar to the West 8 design for Queens Quay. transit will go under one haft of the underpass with the other haft open to single lane traffic for the other haft.
This was follow by option 3 that would see curbside loading.
The plan is to have design plans ready for a June meeting with the EA going for approval this fall. Construction is to take place in 2008/2009 subject to approval.
