Century Plaza, completed in 1990 just west of Yonge on Wellesley, is about to be reclad. To what degree I am unsure of at this point, but at minimum it's getting repainted. (New windows for this Raphael Burka-designed building? Dunno.)
In any case, in the driveway area of the building, they've done a paint test. Behind, of course, is the current paint colour. Then you get the primer, and then two new colours they're considering. (Not sure why not repaint the same colour as it is now—the current one is complemented by the stone on the podium face.)
The olive looks okay to me, but I'm hoping they don't go with the gray.
Anyone know more? Do we have any residents who might know if a decision has been made?
Do we know if the gray is just a sick joke and nothing to be concerned about, or might the forces of colourless, mind-numbing banality have some sway here?
